5 out of 5 stars Good Info and Pictures   August 26, 2010
Princess Diana (Snow world)
Cat Fancy is a great magazine filled with tips, history, pictures and facts. I learned some new tricks and tips from these magazines for my cat and the magazine has been very successfully helpful. I got my subscription for 13 dollars a year and it is worth it to me. Hope this helps.

I've had a subscription for almost a year now but won't be renewing it. Each month there are hearth-warming articles about animal welfare organizations, in particular shelters housing abandoned cats. Yet they also feature a cat breed of the month, as well as a breeder's directory in the back of the magazine.

Really?!? Don't they understand the correlation between the two - selfish people buying status symbol cats while thousands of cats are killed every year because they aren't a pure breed, or in other words genetically inferior (gee, where have I heard that term before - WWII Germany perhaps?).

If you are true cat lover, not someone who needs a brand-name cat, then skip this magazine.

I have always loved Cat Fancy Magazine...good for ideas on how to deal with my own cats' health and/or behavioral issues! Currently, there are four cats who live with me...they RULE! It is my goal to take care of them the best way possible without going bankrupt in the process - Cat Fancy has helped me to do that. Marla

5 out of 5 stars A monthly delight   June 28, 2010

Since subscribing a few months ago, I have become more and more excited when I see an issue in my mailbox. Since my brother Francis is not allowed outside I have an inside track into getting first dibs on each issue because I can go to the mailbox.

The photos are beautiful and colorful, and often show features that I never notice in different breeds of cats. The articles are well written and informative as well as interesting. My brother Francis can't read, but he really enjoys the pictures.

We both love the occasional pullout posters, and have covered the walls of our room with them.

In closing I would recommend a subscription for all of the fellow cat fanciers out there, you won't regret it (until you run out of space on your wall for posters! LOL!1!!!!)
